About

Me

One of my primary missions is to approach the lives of my clients with a respectful curiosity about their story, learn more about their individual experience, and then apply therapeutic training towards developing the most effective, healing process possible. I long for each person to feel seen, respected and accepted. I believe that unconditional, positive regard is the foundation and catalyst for transformation and growth.

I have a master’s degree in Mental Clinical Health Counseling from Trevecca Nazarene University. My undergrad degree is from Auburn University where I majored in elementary education. I am incredibly thankful to be part of the Cypress Counseling Group, the Nashville Area Association of Christian Counselors and the Tennessee Licensed Professional Counselor Association.

I moved to Nashville with my family in 1977 and have been part of the middle Tennessee community for nearly 50 years. I am a mom to three and have had the adventure and joy of parenting through different developmental stages. My interests include gardening, thrifting, reading, all things creative and my sweet dog, Archie. I am also an artist and am honored to have my work displayed at The Refuge Center for Counseling and the counseling center at Christ Community Church.
